when i gaze long enough
into these melting sidewalks
i can see myself as i was before;
before i knew anesthesia,
before i knew platforms,
before i knew the ocean
and where looks could take me.
i was mislead and left adrift
through an undertow of dreams
designed for the innocence in me.
i was ripped by hight and symmetry,
before understanding what a reflection means.
but the future opens her palms
like the clouds parting in the sky
to remind me that this phantom
of the past does not define.
the past awaits tomorrow
and asks, ” what are you gonna do about it now …. ? ”

I’m going to melt the skin between my fingers
and pull each vein from its bone.
I’m going stack this skeleton
and use the bloody lace
to cast myself, as a kite,
to the moon.

yes Robyn, that is just one of the things i like about your writing…. you tell it like it is.
when you wrote this you say you were feeling rather erie at the time …. feeling rather erie is an emotion most all of us come to terms with and you are not shy about saying so,
i admire this very much
as well as your thoughts ….

The irony of this response is that you recently posted about a kite and I am only just seeing it now… The universe is a very strange place

yes, i agree with you Robyn
the universe is a very strange and mysterious kind of place ….
and that is what keeps things interesting and exciting ….
irony, destiny, timing ….
meeting someone on a comfortable wavelength can increase the electricity
to the point where lightning says to thunder …. let’s make some music
i am going to send you an email
and hope you will take the time to read it ….
have a good one,
