Have you ever typed as though playing piano?

Your passions are feverish,
those methods are chivalrous
in their own mercenariness way.
These keys are not finite.
Compose
— your touch is breath—
rhythm; no lingering reaction.
Let words tremble, it’s intention.

Only then will my heart know it can dance.

  1. Both piano and keyboard, each are instruments of the creativity within us. The story comes out in so many ways and never repeats itself.

Absolutely, I agree! But, with this, I was trying to provoke another interpretation of the quote that is just as literal but in a different way…
I was hoping to bring the readers attention to the ‘intention’ and the dynamic contrast between the two mediums that contain rather similar ideas of translating a feeling through different senses by using a vast— seemingly finite— language. I wanted to focus on the physical processes or the motion of creation; inspiring writers to draw their awareness to how they might express themselves with not just instruments (as in a keyboard versus piano) but letters within words within phrases like notes within measures within songs!
I think I will probably revise this after some amount of sleep and elaborate more thoroughly!! Thank you for the perspective and comment :)
