Drowned a Fool

Drowned a fool, thoughts mirrored lines
Conflicted vision from a fragrant mind
Fragmented, conformed, degraded soul
A puzzle, a dream, a life to unfold

The answers were there
Made sense at the time
Made easy rhythms
That caught on a tide

So swiftly it swayed
So violently it stayed
In to out of control
I was drowned a fool

Drowned a fool, parallels swift collide
Haunted by mistaken photos for lies
Memories, thoughts, tracing the past
A question, an answer, it won’t last

The dream was there
Made sense at the time
Made easy rhythms
That got lost in the tide

So quickly its caught
So blindly its fought
In to out of control
I was drowned a fool
